Removing window film from flat glass

This week's tip is from PB534 ~

This has probably been used before, but I haven't seen it lately. I recently did a residential job and had to remove the old film that had turned purple and was stuck like nobodies business to the windows. I asked if the guy was in a hurry and he said he wasn't so I asked if I could "soak" the windows overnight. There wasn't a problem so I sprayed the windows with Simplegreen (found at your nearest Home Depot)covered them with plastic dropcloth and taped the plastic to the frame of the window. Also, I made sure the stuff didn't leak down the wall before I left. To make a long story short, the next day, the film came off so easy ALONG with the glue. I barely had to clean the windows when I was finished removing the film. Just squeegeed and applied. No fuss no muss and NO glue! | Tinter's Forum

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
